Nik and Erendira Wallenda are world-renowned high-wire artists and proud Sarasota residents who have dedicated their lives to inspiring others through the art of circus. As seventh-generation performers of the legendary Great Wallenda family, they have carried forward a heritage of courage, perseverance, and faith—while also writing their own unforgettable chapters in circus history.
Nik has walked across Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, and Times Square on the high wire, while Erendira has captivated audiences with daring aerial acts, including her Guinness World Record–breaking performance hanging by her teeth over Niagara Falls. Together, they have performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, always sharing a message of resilience and hope.
But for Nik and Erendira, the dream has always been bigger than global fame. Their vision was to bring that same sense of wonder and inspiration home to Sarasota—the circus capital of the world and the community where they are raising their family. Wonderland was born out of this dream: a holiday spectacular that not only entertains but also uplifts, reminding audiences that no challenge is too great and no story too broken to be made beautiful again.
Through Wonderland and the Nik Wallenda Family Foundation (501c3), Nik and Erendira are committed to making the arts accessible to all. Each season, they open the big top to thousands of children from Title I schools, first responders, military families, and local charities—ensuring that everyone has the chance to experience the magic of live performance.
For Nik and Erendira, Wonderland is more than a show.
It is their gift back to Sarasota:
